I'm excited to announce the publication of my new book, SOCIAL MEDIA AND MINISTRY Sharing The Gospel In The Digital Age! It's hard to believe that it's finally done, and that I'm actually holding the real book in my hands. What an exhilarating feeling! After all the hard work, punctuated by the obligatory all-nighters, it feels like crossing the finish line at the end of a long and winding marathon! I'm both humbled and grateful. God has truly been good! SOCIAL MEDIA AND MINISTRY Sharing The Gospel In The Digital World is a practical guide, a how-to handbook for pastors, ministries and others on how to use Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube to expand influence. Social media is taking the world by storm! Facebook alone has over 500,000,000 (that millions with a "m") active users. Digital social media, represented by the likes of Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube is having a huge impact on contemporary society in general, and on the church in particular! I'm excited to be able to share information about new social networking tools and skills. I've provided social media strategies and tactics which can help pastors and others place digital technologies at the service of the Great Commission (Matthew 28:18-20)! For other readers, this handbook provides a window on the world of social networking, and tips on how to become a more effective practitioner. I hope you find SOCIAL MEDIA AND MINISTRY Sharing The Gospel In The Digital Age both informative and enjoyable! It is available now as a paperback, and as an immediate download at Lulu.com. In the coming weeks it will be available at online retailers Amazon.com, Barnes & Noble, and Baker & Taylor. Thank you for your encouragement and support. Be Blessed! Kenneth Lillard

"Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good; his mercy endureth for ever." Psalm 107:1 Happy Thanksgiving to all my readers! May God bless you abundantly at this special time of the year! Thanksgiving is a time to be grateful for all our blessings. We thank the Lord for our familes, the food on our tables, and the roofs over our heads. He has truly been good to us! Deuteronomy 28:1-6 We are thankful for our parents, teachers and others who have taught us so many incredibly important life lessons. But how often have we taken the time to reach out and thank them for their encouragement and support? Now is a great time to lift them up in prayer! But most importantly, we thank God for His Son, Jesus Christ, who died that we might be saved! John 3:16-17 As we gather around our tables to share turkey, dressing and cranberry sauce, we should take time to give thanks for not only our present blessings, but also for all those blessings we have already received! And finally, let us not forget those less fortunate than us this Thanksgiving. It's a great time to donate food, or volunteer in a soup kitchen! What a great way to express our gratitude! "So then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live in him, rooted and built up in him, strengthened in the faith as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness." "For everything there is a season, and a time for every purpose under heaven." Ecclesiastes 3:1 Fall is in the air! The seasons have definitely changed. And autumn, my favorite time of the year, has finally arrived! I've often pondered why I like fall so much. Maybe, it's because I was born in September! Fall has always been a special time for me - a time of celebration and new beginnings! Plus, the brisk, fresh air of autumn is so reinvigorating after the heat of July and August. The 2010 baseball season has drawn to a close with the San Francisco Giants, "The Boys of Summer", crowned Major League Baseball's world champions! Now, brand new football, basketball, and hockey seasons have kicked off. We also experience different seasons in our personal lives. We go through sunshine seasons of victory and celebration! But we also go through stormy seasons of difficulty and challenge. And while we may not be able to control the various seasons that we pass through, we can control how we respond to them! While we're going through a particularly rough season in our lives, we might do well to remember, it is only a test! (1 Corinthians 10:13) We can take great comfort in the knowledge that we have a Savior in Christ Jesus who is closer than a brother. (Proverbs 18:24) And he will never leave us nor forsake us! (Hebrews 13:5) If we only put our trust and faith in him, he'll see us through our tough season of discontent. We'll emerge intact with a testimony! And we'll be perfectly positioned to enter into a brand new season of confidence and victory! (Isaiah 26:3)
