![]() "Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good; his mercy endureth for ever." Psalm 107:1 Happy Thanksgiving to all my readers! May God bless you abundantly at this special time of the year! Thanksgiving is a time to be grateful for all our blessings. We thank the Lord for our familes, the food on our tables, and the roofs over our heads. He has truly been good to us! Deuteronomy 28:1-6 We are thankful for our parents, teachers and others who have taught us so many incredibly important life lessons. But how often have we taken the time to reach out and thank them for their encouragement and support? Now is a great time to lift them up in prayer! But most importantly, we thank God for His Son, Jesus Christ, who died that we might be saved! John 3:16-17 As we gather around our tables to share turkey, dressing and cranberry sauce, we should take time to give thanks for not only our present blessings, but also for all those blessings we have already received! And finally, let us not forget those less fortunate than us this Thanksgiving. It's a great time to donate food, or volunteer in a soup kitchen! What a great way to express our gratitude! "So then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live in him, rooted and built up in him, strengthened in the faith as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness."
